On Friday 24th I got the Blue Dragon and I must say that this game, is without doubts the best game for the XBOX 360, it was my most anticipated game for the last two years!
Now I won’t write a huge review of the game to avoid the spoilers, but I can write a little about my first impressions and thoughts about the game,
So, first of all, the game is REALLY huge, as Hironobu Sakaguchi stated before;
The game required compression to fit on the three DL-DVD’s making it the biggest XBOX 360 game up to date, and taking over 30 gigabytes of data.
Most of the cut-scenes are not pre-rendered and look extremely awesome, the game is NOT childish as it may look like, it can be very fun, and sometimes it can be very sad, it looks great, and it sounds astonishing, it takes more than two days to complete it, without doing the side-quests.
The crew
The character designs are well done, thanks to Akira Toriyama, who is most acknowledged for such games/mangas/animes as: Dragon Ball, Dragon Quest and Chrono Trigger.
The music score is breathtaking thanks to Nobuo Uematsu, who is renowned worldwide for his music from such games as Final Fantasy I-XIII and many other JRPG’s.
And the epic story really drags you in to the fantasy world of Blue Dragon, thanks to Hironobu Sakaguchi the man who gave us Final Fantasy J
So when those three masterminds made this game, it really speaks for itself on how good it is.

Mistwalker seems to be a very promising company, it will not surprise me if they even beat Square Enix in the next years or so, and when such games as Blue Dragon 2, Cry On and Lost Odyssey will be released, and the company will get even more popular.
