On 20th of August at 8 A.M. GMT, a leaked beta build of Silent Hill: Origins has been released via the BitTorrent protocol.
The download size of the ISO image is 613.01 MB. It has been tested on various firmware versions, such as 3.52 M33 and 3.40 OE-A, with good results, except for some occasional crashes.
The beta starts in Alchemilla Hospital, the same hospital seen in the first episode of the series.
The beta features save points, although it's not possible to load saved games.
The ISO/CSO file contains the full game (The game's data files, and all the FMV's) However, it has been modified by the developers, to run from a specified memory address which only allows to play the hospital level. The memory can however be modified to load from the beginning of the game.
